| Project Overview | Sydney Metro Airports required the provision of a physical survey for Bankstown Airport’s Annual Technical Inspection (ATI). |
| JJR Involvement | JJR have significant experience in airport operations and design and have previously undertaken numerous services for aerodromes around Australia, including ATI’s, airside operational documentation audits, and master planning services.
JJR ensured that the airport met the requirements for a “Certified” aerodrome as prescribed in Commonwealth’s Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) 1998 Part 139 Aerodromes and the promulgated, Manual of Standards Part 139 – Aerodromes, and that the physical characteristics of airport facilities complied with relevant standards, and were adequate for aircraft safety. JJR also conducted a review to ensure that operating procedures were consistent with the Aerodrome Manual and were appropriate and adequate for the expected level of aircraft activities at the aerodrome, that staff are experienced, trained and qualified to conduct the safety related functions of the aerodrome, and that management is aware of the airport safety functions and can be expected to continue properly operating the airport. |
