Project Overview |
Fulton Hogan requested JJR’s team to develop an Airport Impact Assessment (AIA) to ensure that the requirements are met for the NSW Roads & Maritime Service (RMS) Scope of Works and Technical Criteria (SWTC). |
JJR Involvement |
The scope of work for JJR included an assessment of the following elements around Illawara Regional Airport:
- Review of FHC’s Pre-IFC design documentation;
- Current Obstacle Limitation Surface (OLS) and existing obstacles for existing runways;
- A “future” OLS model prepared;
- The “future” OLS model is assessed against construction works and any concerning obstacles;
- Road and vehicle lighting impacts assessed on Pre-IFC for permanent works design;
- A wind shear and turbulence assessment was undertaken in accordance with National Aerodrome Safeguarding Framework (NASF) Guideline; and
- A draft AIA report and risk assessment associated with the proposed permanent works.
