Project |
Structural Analysis and Certification of a Conveyor System at the Port of Eden |
Client |
Acora Reneco (Acora) |
Project Value |
<$1M |
Project Overview |
The Port of Eden wharf and associated components of the ship loading conveying system has been destroyed as a result of large sea swells. The client had been engaged to design, build and install a new truss and conveyer arrangement to replace the existing. |
JJR Involvement |
A reverse engineering check on the truss and conveyor system design was completed to Australian Standards and other client requirements. Member deflections, and connection checks for maximum member forces were checked to ensure the system is structurally adequate. Structural models were developed to apply loads and relevant constraints to ensure an accurate analysis. |
