| Project Overview | Mackay Regional Council engaged JJR to assist Council in developing an options study to progress the Milton Bridge Interchange and Shellgrit Creek Detention Basin upgrade projects adjacent to Mackay Airport. |
| JJR Involvement | JJR’s expert team reviewed the plans, and provided the client with a report, which included recommendations on the feasibility of the project. A separate report was provided for the Shellgrit Creek Detention Basin Project that recommended the dredging of the detention basin to improve flood protection for South Mackay.
A memorandum was also provided to the client that reviewed the possibility of using cameras and machine learning to detect, monitor and report on wildlife at Shellgrit Creek detention basin with a high-level cost estimate. |
