| Project Overview |
Development of a Regional Airport Plan for all aerodromes operated by ORRTG members, including Barcoo Shire Council, Boulia Shire Council, Diamantina Shire Council, Winton Shire Council, Barcaldine Regional Council, Blackall Tambo Regional Council, Longreach Regional Council and Transport and Main Roads Central West District. This is the first Regional Airport Plan developed which will act as the primary management tool for ORRTG assets to ensure a consistent focus for the management of airports across the region. |
| JJR Involvement |
The Regional Airport Plan was developed for the client including:
- Identification of levels of service appropriate for various categories of airport (certified, registered and certain other aerodromes);
- Review of ERSA and NAD documents and recommendations to update incorrect or missing information;
- Review of existing SOI documents and budget expenditure plans;
- Liaison with individual ORRTG member Councils to identify future requirements;
- Identification of short, medium and longer term initiatives with Council to develop updated SOI documents;
- Development of budget cost estimates to develop a life cycle strategy for each aerodrome; and
- Development of the RAP to include levels of service, demand planning, life cycle management planning and a financial forecast.
