Project Overview JJR were engaged by Pro 1 Maintenance Pty Ltd to provide engineering investigation, advice and design for remediation of the pavement surrounding the burst fire main at Acacia Place, Notting Hill.
JJR Involvement JJR’s expert engineers conducted investigations to determine the extents of impacts to the surrounding pavement, subgrade and substrata, which included:

  • Visual investigation of the pavement, including the existing subgrade;
  • CCTV inspection was conducted to investigate potential damages to the pipe; and
  • Reviewed the geotechnical investigation report.

A design was developed for the trench and pavement reinstatement in accordance with Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology (AGPT) and VicRoads Supplements to AGPT, as well as documents relating to the original design, traffic engineering assessment and geotechnical investigation. JJR delivered a memorandum to the client, which included the investigation outcomes and a cost estimate.
