City of Kingston (Council) engaged JJR to undertake a condition rating of 11 precast concrete light poles and 600m of reinforced concrete balustrading, which were identified with severe cracking, and located at Peter Scullin Reserve, Mordialloc Beach. |
JJR Involvement |
The scope of inspection work included:
- Estimate location and concrete cover to steel reinforcing of the typical precast concrete pole using Ground Penetrating Radar equipment;
- Undertake a Drummy Survey to estimate extent of reinforcing corrosion in accessible portions of concrete poles with severe cracking;
- Condition rating of concrete balustrades; and
- Condition assessment report, including inspection data, analysis, and recommendations.
