Project Overview	ClearCalcs Engineering required verification of software which was developed to undertake structural engineering processes and calculations without the need of an engineering supervising.
JJR Involvement	JJR offered our technical and software expertise by stressing the core activities of the software by conducting structural engineering processes, and also reporting on improvements which may be required. This included verification of the following functionalities: • Uses criteria derived from the NCC Deemed-to-Satisfy Provisions, (including its referenced documents); • Relates to the structural framing system of a building or structure, such as roof trusses and the like; • Is capable of computing all member loads and load effects; • Can apply relevant provisions, including any discretionary factors, of the appropriate Australian Standards or other relevant documents; • Is capable of selecting the appropriate components for use in a particular design; and • When used as a computer-based submission as part of a building approval or the like, is not signed off by a professional engineer.
