Project Overview |
Secondment into the Design Manager role for Fulton Hogan for the Foxground & Berry Bypass for a four-lane highway with median separation for 11.6km of the Princes Highway. |
JJR Involvement |
The responsibilities of the design manager for the project included, but were not limited to:
- Identifying any design issues which may become issues during construction;
- Addressing Requests for Information (RFIs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs);
- Working with the Fulton Hogan construction team to develop practical solutions for issues encountered on site;
- Liaising with stakeholders and the client as required;
- Developing detailed briefs for consultants if RFIs or NCRs cannot be solved on site and require a response from the designer;
- Ensuring appropriate risk, quality and safety management systems are implemented during the project;
- Ensuring appropriate documentation of design decisions;
- Managing technical resources on the project as required;
- Managing design budgets; and
- Any other relevant requirements of the role.
